About Melissa Schmidt
Melissa Schmidt has served her community for over thirty years through public education, private preschool programs and previously served her local Pregnancy Resource Center in the role of board member, director of program development and parent educator. Melissa served in the private sector of preschool education in the areas of administration and in the public school setting until she developed a non for profit 501c3 preschool and early childhood education and served in the Lebanon R-3 school system as a Parents as Teacher Educator serving in homes to educate families, and in early childhood screenings. Melissa has also served the constituents in the district in her role in a state level position with the Missouri House of Representatives. Most recently, Melissa serves Jordan Valley Community Health Centers as Program Coordinator of preschool and parent education development.
Melissa is a wife to husband Aaron for over 30 years, a mother to two adult children, and cherishes her role as aunt to over 20 nieces and nephews. Melissa and Aaron enjoy their hobby farm and is a lifelong Missourian.
Melissa served as former Vice Chair for Laclede County Republican Committee and has served on several non for profit boards and is a member of Kiwanis. Melissa and Aaron serve on the leadership team for their home church and she is well known for her servant's heart and dedication to helping those in need.
Melissa is passionate about fighting for the unborn and supporting families, education, small business, supporting the aging community and Veterans. As a daughter of a retired law enforcement officer, Melissa will always stand with law enforcement.
Melissa is an advocate for increased access to mental health care and a proven conservative grassroots voice for the southern Missouri region.
